Araba Assan, MPH, CHES, is a Program Coordinator at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. She is a passionate public health researcher, evaluator, educator, health equity advocate and consultant with five years of experience working in higher education and non-profit organizations.

She conferred a Bachelor of Public Health with concentration in community health, and a Biology minor at Montclair State University. During her time here she was an Undergrad Research Assistant at Biology at Montclair State University and a Health Program Specialist at Burlington County Health Department.

Araba then conferred a Masters of Public Health in Community Health Education at Montclair State University. She had several positions during her MPH. She was a Prevention Specialist at Project COPE at Montclair State University, a Volunteer EMT at Montclair State EMS, a Mental Health ambassador volunteer + CAPS Project Coordinator, and a Birth Equity Advocate at March of Dimes.

She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist. After graduating, Araba became a Research Assistant, Research & Evaluation (R&E) Group at Public Health Management Corporation before becoming a Research Coordinator, Research and Evaluation Group at Public Health Management Corporation.

Araba currently works as a Program Coordinator at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
